Vadim Nekrasov was born in Moscow, and has been engaged in professional photography since 1982, when he became photo reporter for the Soviet journal "Chess". From 1984 until 1988 he worked as a freelance photographer, and his work was published by APN and such journals as "Latin America", "Soviet Union", "Soviet Woman" (first prize for the best photograph in 1989), "Passport to the USSR" and its successor "Passport to the New World", "Louvre", "Versailles", "Connaissance des Arts", the travel journals "Magellan", "Ves Mir" and "Voyage", "Krasota", "Foto-Video" the Russian and French editions of "Elle", "Harper's Bazaar" and others. Since 1988 - photo-correspondent of the authoritative "Nashe Nasledie" (Our Heritage) journal. |
1. "Samara Region", a 270-page album of photographs commissioned by the Fedorov Corporation in Samara (1966) 2. Annual wall calendars of his still-life studies (1993,1994,1955) for the GPZ Corporation (Russia's largest producer of ball-bearings). 3. Wall calendar for the Moscow Municipal Bank (1996) 4. Declared prize winner of the "Business" category of this exhibition, and won first prize in the Coca-Cola competition for a conceptual advertisement run concurrently with this exhibition. Vadim Nekrasov's main interest is still life photography (own composition, design and execution) in the broad sense of the genre. Recent work has included conceptual advertisements for IBM and Olivetti computers, promotional brochures, wall and desk calendars etc. for large corporations such as "New City" in Moscow (real estate), "Sibmix" (oil and timber), "Rosinvestneft", "Lukoil", "Nikoil", the Moscow International Bank and others. | |||||||||||||||||
